FEATURED SPEAKER:  Karen M. Becker, Ph.D, President Indigo Bay Ventures LLC 

 Karen Becker is the founder and president of IndigoBay Ventures, LLC and currently a member of the Board of Directors at Congressional Bank and the Managing Director at Samson Venture Partners. 

Samson Venture Partners is a Life Science Investment Fund leveraging the most experienced clinical, regulatory and FDA compliance experts to identify investment opportunities with discrete and distinctive advantages in comparison to competitive technologies.

Dr. Becker has more than 20 years of experience providing strategic scientific and FDA regulatory consulting services to clients developing innovative healthcare products.  Dr. Becker is the editor of the textbook "Clinical Trial of Medical Devices: Principles and Case Studies" and has written extensively on the regulation of FDA products.  Dr. Becker received a BS in Biological Chemistry (University of Maryland, College Park) and a PhD in Pharmacology (University of North Carolina, School of Medicine). She is an adjunct Professor at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
